A Bulgarian engineering operation.
Built, run and transferred.
For an Asian B2B iGaming operator, EVLabs went beyond software delivery: we established a Bulgarian joint-stock company, hired 25 people and managed the local operation. Our iGaming domain knowledge also helped shape the technical transformation as the team scaled the product.
Asian B2B operatorBulgariaiGamingBuild the capability behind the platform.
The client needed more than additional development capacity. Scaling a B2B betting product required a dedicated engineering team with domain expertise, backed by a functioning local business.
Starting in July 2024, EVLabs brought those requirements together under a Build–Operate–Transfer engagement. We handled the Bulgarian setup, technical hiring and day-to-day operational coordination, enabling the team to focus on product development. At the end of 2025, the team was transferred to the client.
One operation. Several moving parts.
Hire for the domain.
The client needed engineers who could work in the context of B2B iGaming—not simply fill generic software roles. Technical assessment had to connect engineering skills with an understanding of the product and its operational demands.
Make Bulgaria work.
Entity formation, employment arrangements, legal coordination and financial accounting had to support the growing team. These responsibilities needed to develop alongside hiring and delivery.
Prepare for the handover.
The goal was a capability the client could take over. Team continuity, operational knowledge and clear responsibilities mattered throughout the engagement.
The path from setup to transfer.
Entity setup, recruitment, engineering and business operations progressed together. Transfer was the destination of the engagement.
Launch the engagement.
Align the product needs, local operating scope and team requirements. Begin the Bulgarian setup and the work of building the dedicated team.
Establish and recruit.
Create the Bulgarian JSC and recruit for technical capability and domain expertise. Connect onboarding with the client’s product context and engineering priorities.
Run and scale.
Build the local team to 25 hires across the engagement. Support product scaling while coordinating people operations, legal matters and financial accounting.
Hand over the team.
Complete the transfer to the client, bringing the team and its working knowledge into the client’s operation.
The engagement began in July 2024 and transfer was completed at the end of 2025. Build and operate activities overlapped; the timeline shows the workstreams rather than separate, fixed-duration phases.
The whole local operation.
Technical hiring with domain expertise.
EVLabs managed recruitment around the client’s engineering needs and B2B iGaming context, connecting candidate assessment, hiring and onboarding with the work the team would deliver.
The resulting 25-person team scaled the product, combining dedicated capacity with knowledge of the client’s business and platform.
A Bulgarian JSC and local coordination.
We established the Bulgarian joint-stock company and managed the legal coordination needed to support the operation, including the local setup and employment-related work.
Entity, people and delivery decisions were handled as connected parts of the engagement.
Business operations behind delivery.
EVLabs managed financial and accounting coordination for the local operation, keeping these responsibilities alongside the team’s growth and ongoing work.
The client had a partner covering both engineering delivery and the practical financial administration of its Bulgarian presence.
Continuity through transfer.
We managed the operation through the build and operate stages and coordinated the team transfer at the end of 2025.
The handover carried forward the people and product knowledge developed during the engagement.
A team that helped scale the product.
Domain expertise behind the transformation.
EVLabs played an active role in the technical transformation. Our knowledge of B2B betting helped us understand the client’s operating model, connect product requirements with engineering decisions and guide the work needed to scale the platform.
That contribution extended across platform architecture, real-time betting, provider integrations, security and quality assurance. Domain knowledge informed both who we hired and how we approached the technical challenges. Our related case study explores the platform work in detail.

This case study covers the broader July 2024–end of 2025 engagement: local entity setup, 25 hires, product scaling, operational management and team transfer.
Together, the two case studies show both what the engineering team delivered and how EVLabs built the operation around it.
A working operation, transferred.
By the end of 2025, the client had a 25-person team built through a Bulgarian operation that EVLabs had established and managed.
The engagement connected entity formation, domain-focused technical recruitment, product development, legal coordination and financial accounting in one delivery model. It concluded with the transfer of the team to the client.
For this engagement, BOT turned a local expansion requirement into an engineering capability with a completed path to client ownership.
